On a trip to the UK, Cmdr Bob Mumery (OAM RAN Retd), a committee member of the HMAS Perth (I) Memorial Foundation, came across a partially completed model of HMS Amphion. This ship was renamed Perth and commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy in time for the Second World War.  The Lions clubs of WA

The president of the association, Darrell Neild, and its secretary, Terry McLeod, led a delegation to see the progress of the HMAS Perth (I) Memorial.  Pictures of the three Perths were presented to the Memorial Foundation committee.        

The 2023 Foundation AGM was held at the HMAS Perth Memorial Hall on Saturday the 19th of August.  CMDR Cam Hooper, captain of the patrol boat HMAS Arafura was the guest speaker.
