HMAS PERTH (I) MEMORIAL FOUNDATION INC
Members of the Lion’s Club of Port Kennedy, in particular Alan and Bev Hawkins, have arranged for a model of HMS Amphion to be shipped to the HMAS Perth(I) Memorial in East Fremantle. HMS Amphion was renamed HMAS Perth in June 1939.
This is a Memorial which commemorates the loss of HMAS Perth (I), dedicated to the lost Crew, the survivors who were imprisoned; enslaved in prisoner of war camps and those who finally returned to Australia bearing the scars of their suffering for the duration of their lives
